Fundación ALAS is a nonprofit organization, which adds individual wills against many forms of neurological damage. Our group recognizes a particular interest and commitment in this real struggle. Our activities include prevention efforts, training, study and assistance in this field, both aimed at the general population, patients and their families and professionals involved. Neurological injuries have been caused by a multiplicity of conditions and traumatic events: cerebrovascular diseases and traffic accidents represent the most frequent causes. Head trauma is the most common cause of death in young adults and cerebrovascular diseases represent the third cause of death in the general population.

Devastating degrees of disability and high mortality are common outcomes in countries with different levels of development, the costs in public health for all concepts are equally alarming.
